Dare to dream my little ponies!

I put forth the notion that the land of dreams was contained within the body of Discord.
In this blog I plan to get into further detail on how this works.
Let us work under the assumption that at one point in time the entity known as Discord did not exist as we know him but was instead nothing more than a magical vessel designed to contain the chaotic magic generated by dreaming ponies.
Case in point.
As years passed and this container became full it would have been necessary to create a relief valve to prevent the container from breaking and releasing a devastating wave of chaos and turmoil to wash over the land.
And thus Discord was born.
He is not the master of dreams and even he is not aware of where his powers comes from. He only knew that he had the power to play with reality as he saw fit and was filled a mysterious inexplicable compulsion to use that magic.
Discords use of magic relieved the pressure in a way that was not immediately overwhelming and was also possible to counteract before going to far.
Bit by bit he used more and more, releasing much of the pressure on the dream vessel, until he was turned to stone by the two sisters and locked away for a very long time unable to use his magic.
Here is where things get interesting.
While he was locked away the buildup began anew and eventually needed to release itself once again. Also, during his imprisonment, Luna did a stint in Space Alcatraz and upon her return created the Tantabus to punish herself.
It grew slowly in strength but was held in check at first by two things. Luna's will power and Discords short lived return where he blew off a great deal of chaotic steam until he was turned back into a statue by a technicolor light show of true friendship.
When he was freed again and reformed he did still use chaos magic but not at the levels he previously did which caused a larger buildup of unused magic in the dream container.
And thus the Tantabus began to grow...
With the chaos magic building up again it needed a new place to go.
The Tantabus fed on Lunas guilt but it was also a creature born of dreams and I do not think it impossible that it could have also fed on the excess chaos as well allowing it to grow large enough to try and escape taking the excess chaos magic with it.
It was prevented from freeing itself and thus the magic remained imprisoned.
And then along came Tirek.
This villain, who had the power to drain magic from other beings, was somehow able to escape his prison in Tartarus and when it came time to choose who should capture him Princess Celestia decided it should be Discord.
Celestia, who has dreams of prophecy, chose Discord, the living vessel of dreams that was in danger of becoming overwhelmed by an abundance of chaotic magic, to seek out Tirek the drainer of magic.
Celestia who made the decision to give all Alicorn magic to one pony Princess.

THE PRINCESS CHOSEN BY THE TREE ITSELF!
When Tirek drained magic from Discord all he took away was the excess magic that had leaked beyond the boundaries of containment. Once it reached safety levels the container closed the valve and prevented Tirek from draining any more.
I previously asserted that Sun Butt was being sent her visions of the future by the Tree of Harmony in an effort to maintain the balance and prevent chaos from taking over.
The Tree of Harmony has been orchestrating the destiny of Equestria since before recorded history to make sure there was never too much or too little chaos in the world.
If this all sounds far fetched to you ask yourself one simple question..
With all the power at Discord's command have you ever, even once, seen him inside of a dream?
